Spring Break Can Be Great Fun If You Follow These Safety Tips

 

For students, Spring break is one of the most highly anticipated times of the year.  While spring break usually means lots of fun, it also means heavy drinking and can create a mix that leads to dangerous possibilities.

 

You can still have fun while taking precautions to makes sure you stay safe on your spring break vacation. Here are some tips to help safeguard your safety:

 

– Do not drive.  Utilize public transportation, walk, coordinate a sober ride in advance, take a taxi, or find a way to stay the night.  Avoid driving after you have been drinking no matter what.  There is always an alternative.

– Do not leave your drink unattended.  Hold it and keep an eye on it at all times.  Alcohol poisoning is a serious spring break risk.

– Know your drinking limits and stay within them.  Plan out how much you want to drink in advance and stick with your plan.

– Be knowledgeable about the local rules and laws and do not break them.

– This should go without saying, but do not drink, especially in public, if you are not of legal age.
